What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants can be a great solution if you are missing many teeth but don’t want to deal with the maintenance and other difficulties of wearing dentures. Dental implants are permanent artificial teeth that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

What Are the Benefits Of Dental Implants?

Dental implants carry all the benefits of real teeth. With dental implants you can enjoy all of the following…

  • A completely natural-looking smile – No one will know you have implants unless you choose to tell them.
  • No additional maintenance needed – You simply floss and brush your teeth like you normally would to keep them clean.
  • No diet restrictions – Since your new teeth have virtually the same durability and function as natural teeth, you can enjoy all your favorite foods without hesitation.
  • Improved speech – Some people find that their speech is affected when they’ve lost teeth or even when they wear dentures. Dental implants can eliminate these types of issues.

What Does the Dental Implant Process Entail?

A dental implant consists of three parts:

  1. A metal post is placed in your jaw and serves as an artificial tooth root.
  2. An “abutment” attaches to the artificial root. This piece connects the root to your new tooth.
  3. The visible portion of your tooth, called the “crown,” attaches to the abutment.

The dental implant procedure itself can vary based on your specific needs, the number of dental implants you need, and whether any damaged teeth need to be extracted first. I strongly recommend OG Dental for those looking for a new dentist or looking to switch. The front desk ladies were very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful with scheduling and finances. My hygienist, Leah, and Dr. Busch were both great at educating me in the procedures/treatment plan I need to have done and the reasons why. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and the quality of care and attention was excellent! This office is beautiful, modern and also family friendly!

Everyone is amazing and friendly! Dr. Busch is a normal down to earth guy. The front desk team is always on their game. Danielle is the best hygienist going. So happy I found this group.

I've been a patient of OGDA since 1988 and have been very pleased with the care I've gotten. The professionals and staff are all totally dedicated to the dental and overall health of their patients.

I have never been to a dental or medical office that was so welcoming and efficient my first visit went with ease. The receptionist knew who I was upon my entering the greeted me with the biggest smiles which was a great start. I then went on to meet the hygienist Kate who cleaned my teeth like never before she was very knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way, she then called the doctor in who was a really cool dude he spoke to me in dental language I can understand made sure before leaving I understood everything we discussed. I do need a few more visits, but I plan on now switching the rest of my family. Thank you Dr. Busch and Staff

It is rare to find a dentist who has excellent credentials, state of the art knowledge and equipment, and a responsive and caring staff. Dr. Busch and his support team accomplish this in an exemplary fashion. His care has been excellent in all ways. I would highly recommend his practice to anyone with dental issues.
